Apple says it will pay security researchers up to $1 million to find vulnerabilities that could compromise the security of its AI cloud named ”Private Cloud Compute”.
The company said it will pay up to $1 million to anyone who reports vulnerabilities that could remotely run malicious code on its cloud computing servers. Apple also said it will give researchers up to $250,000 to report vulnerabilities that could issue sensitive user information or requests that customers submit to the company’s private cloud, also it look into any security issue that has a significant impact outside the published category.
In recent years, Apple has opened the door to the security of its flagship iPhones by creating a researcher-only iPhone designed for hacking, in an attempt to improve the security of the device, which has been repeatedly targeted by spyware makers in recent years.
Apple touts its cloud computing services as an online extension of the AI model on its customers’ devices, called Apple Intelligence, that can handle the most difficult AI tasks in a way that preserves customers’ privacy.
